Yearbook-style “unit book” of the Fourth Fighter-Interceptor Wing, US Airforce, Korean War. First edition, published in 1953. The group was credited with the destruction of 1,016 enemy aircraft (Russian MiGs)--more than any other American Fighter unit--& produced 38 aces.
Scarce copy. Black cloth-covered boards with white silk-screened decoration. White ink chipped, especially near fore-edge. Bumped upper corner of lower board. Toned endpapers, light tone to interior, toned textblock edges. B&W photos to nearly every page, B&W illustrated cuts. Silk-screened color emblems. No marks, clean copy, binding tight.
